Classroom Stipends

We are very happy to be able to offer each teacher an annual stipend to use in their classrooms! This year all faculty members are allocated the same amount! 

• Grade Level Classroom Teacher ... $200

• Preschool Classroom Teacher ........$200

• PreK Classroom Teacher ……..…….$200

• Specials Teacher .............................$200

• Resource/GATE Teacher .................$200

• Speech/ELL .....................................$200

• Nurse, Counselor .............................$200

• Band/Orchestra Teacher …………..$200

In addition to the stipend listed above, new-to-school PreK-6th grade/specials teachers who are new to Barranca this year get an additional stipend bonus of $50.

Field Trip Stipends

Each classroom also gets a $125 stipend for field trips. This money is not transferable to use in the classrooms at this time. 

How to Use Your Stipend

You do not need approval to use your stipend. Anything that you need or want for your classroom is acceptable, as long as it is used to enhance the student’s learning experience. Purchases must be made between August 1, 2023 and July 31, 2024.

After making your purchase(s), fill out the Request for Budgeted Funds form (button above) and attach your receipts (copies are acceptable). Submit the form and receipts, via email, to our PTO treasurer (or put it in the PTO Box in the front school office), and we will reimburse you via check. If you leave the form in the office, it is a good idea to email Barranca PTO or our PTO treasurer to let us know that it is there. 

You may also request that the PTO conduct the purchase on your behalf. To take this route, please submit the request form, in the same manner stated above, along with a specific item or list of what you need purchased. 

If you need more than your stipend, submit your request through the Barranca PTO President for Executive Committee approval.
