Classroom Stipends

We are very happy to be able to offer each teacher an annual stipend to use in their classrooms! This year all faculty members are allocated the same amount! 

  • All Grade Level Classroom Teachers....$250

  • Specials Teacher ...........................…….$250+

  • Resource/GATE Teacher ..............……..$250

  • Speech/ELL ..................................………$250

  • Band/Orchestra Teacher ……………….$250

  • New Teacher to BMES…………………….$300

  • Technology Support...................…….....$500

Field Trip Stipends

Each grade level receives a $375 stipend to use on field trips. This amount can be divided or used jointly by grade level teachers. You decide! The PTO will treat these funds as one lump allocation per grade.

How to Use Your Stipend

You do not need approval to use your stipend. Anything that you need or want for your classroom is acceptable, as long as it is used to enhance the student’s learning experience. **Purchases must be made between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2026.

After making your purchase(s), fill out the Request for Budgeted Funds form (button above) and attach your receipts (copies are acceptable). Submit the form and receipts, via email, or put it in the PTO Mailbox in the front school office. The PTO treasurer will check the office box EVERY FRIDAY. We will reimburse you via check.

You may also request that the PTO conduct the purchase on your behalf. To take this route, please submit the request form, in the same manner stated above, along with a specific item or list of what you need purchased. 

If you need more than your stipend, submit your request through the Barranca PTO President for Executive Committee approval.
